FULMER CRICKET CLUB

The Club was officially founded in 1895 and, up until entering the Chilterns League in 2022, played friendly fixtures on Saturdays and Sundays from about the third week of April to the end of September.

From 2023 forward we will have two league teams on a Saturday and play friendlies on a Sunday. We are a very friendly club and welcome new members.

One of the highlights of the season is the annual President’s match played on a Sunday around the third week of July.

We are proud of the cricket facilities at King George’s Field (Fulmer) and our opposition enjoy playing at our ground.

We run outdoor nets on the square on a Tuesday evening from around 6pm from early May for the rest of the season.

CHAIRMAN XI vs CAPTAIN XI 2024

Fulmer CC’s first annual Chairman XI vs Captain XI family day was held recently. It was such a Wonderful Day. Special thanks to Colly and Ben. Thanks to all the family members who helped in the kitchen and managing the kids throughout the day. Without their support, this event wouldn’t have turned out into a successful one. Well done everyone!! The Captains XI had an impressive win and take the all important trophy for this year.

ANNUAL PRESIDENT'S MATCH, FULMER 2023

King George's Field was host to the Annual President's Match on Sunday,  24 July.

A wonderful lunch, supplied by the President's family and the Cricket Club, set the scene for an enjoyable day. The President's team won the toss and batted first. After a couple of early wickets, the team settled into building a solid innings of 240 for the loss of 4 wickets.

After a diet busting afternoon tea, Fulmer set about the chase. A useful innings by one of the openers, Nick Box, set us rolling. A great century by Priyan, 48 by Brijesh and a really dogged batting innings from Sami, seeing off some very fast bowling, saw Fulmer score the winning runs with a couple of overs to spare. It was a great match, played in a very friendly atmosphere.

One of the President's team was a young lad named Omar Shah, son of Owais Shah, ex England player, and a name to look out for in the future.

The Club are extremely grateful to Kiki, Peter and Will Grieg for supplying the bulk of the excellent food and arranging the President's team."
